There really is no better country for a stag do than beer-loving Germany. And, while Cologne is a little smaller than it's big brothers, it's more than happy to contend with the 'big boys' for your stag do.

Home of Kolsch beer, Cologne is a beaming city full of great stag party activities and more bars per capita than any other German city. It's safe to say beer-drinking will play a big part in the Cologne stag do, as will some ultimate nights out.

From beer bikes to booze cruises on the Rhine River, just like Kolsch beer, Cologne stag do activities are in the bucketload and aim to please all. There are all the stag party favourites like paintball and bubble football, as well as some German extras like car smash, football match tickets and brewery tours.

You'd be mistaken if you thought a 2,000-year-old city, spanning the Rhine River, couldn't serve up something big for your stag do. It might be Germany's fourth-largest city, but Cologne stag do activities take first place in our books!

From action and insanity to relaxing and boozing, there is plenty of Cologne stag do activities to suit every group. You can get into the swing of things with Car Smash, or if you are after some healthy competition go at it with a Multi-Activity Day.

If you are a fan of the classic stag do activities, you'll find paintball, karting and bubble football. If you are up for trying something new during the Cologne stag weekend there is Foot Pool, Urban Golf, River Rafting and Footdarts.

And, if you are one for something truly bizarre there is House Running, which involves descending a 50-metre tall building while strapped into a harness and facing the ground below.

Boasting more than 70 electric clubs, Cologne's nightlife will show you one hell of a good time during your stag weekend. Although we make no guarantee you'll actually remember it all.

From R&B to Techno and everything else in between, Cologne offers something for everyone and throws some of the wildest nights Western Germany has ever seen.

known as the Latin Quater, people often start out in Kwartier Latäng, which is where you'll find Zülpicher Straße—the party mile. If you enjoy hopping between bars, this will be the ideal place to start. No need to walk far, you can go from pub to pub within a few metres making it perfect for our Bar Crawl & Club Combo!

Friesenplatz is another one of Cologne’s best-known meeting points and if you and the lads like R&B and House music, you'll want to head here. On Saturday nights you'll find one packed bar after another in this vibrant area.

The area of Südstadt, particularly around Chlodwigplatz station, as well as the Cologne Ring, which encircles Barbarossaplatz Square, the Belgian Quarter, the Vringsveedel area and the Old Town are some other top nightlife area with plenty of great bars and clubs.

With so much on offer, it can be difficult knowing exactly where to head, so Maximise recommends a Guided Bar Crawl for the first night of your stag do.

Depending on when you're heading on your Cologne stag do, you might find yourself there at the same time as a fantastic festival or carnival.

From February through to March the city is buzzing with it's Cologne Carnival. During the 'crazy days' of the Cologne Carnival, you'll find people celebrating with parties on the streets, in public squares and pubs. More importantly, closing times for pubs and bars are suspended for the duration of the festival, making this an ideal time to head to Cologne to celebrate your stag do!

There is the C/O Pop Festival in late April or early May, a Light Festival in July and a Summer Festival between July and August. But, our favourite would have to be the Cologne Beer Market in September. It's what we like to call the ultimate reason to head to Cologne in September for a stag do!

As for starting the Cologne stag do in style, Maximise always recommends booking our Return Airport Transfers as it's the easiest and most affordable way to get from the airport to your city centre accommodation. Whether you want to keep it simple with a minibus or upgrade to a Party Bus or Hummer Limo, Maximise has your airport transfers sorted.
