Nightlife for your Dublin Stag Do

Dublin might not be as crazy as it once was but the capital of Ireland still has so much to offer a stag do. From the many famous pubs to the pulsating clubs, you’re guaranteed to have a great night.

With a pub-to-person ration that makes other capital cities green with envy, Dublin’s nightlife is spread throughout the city, although there are a few places with a higher concentration of pubs and clubs. The Temple Bar, and other pubs around the area, are some of the best in Dublin and well worth a visit during your stag weekend.

Just south of Temple Bar is Grafton Street and Georges Street which contain a large number of bars, mainly catering from 20 to 30 somethings, ideal for a group of lads on a stag do. There are a fair few clubs there and its where you’ll probably be continuing your night as most Dublin pubs close at 11.30pm (though some stay open till around 2.30am on the weekends). For your more traditional Irish pubs head over to Stephen's Green, Merrion Row and the Baggot Street areas.

While it might not actually be a law or a sacred rule, you absolutely cannot visit Dublin without visiting the Guinness Brewery. The birthplace of the most famous stout in the world, Dublin produces a cool 10-million pints of Guinness daily - so we're pretty sure they won't run out of any of the stuff while you're there.

Dublin pubs are very serious about underage drinking so make sure you bring ID on a night out, even if you look well about the age limit!

Visit Brazen Head, established in 1198 AD as a coach house, this is Dublin’s oldest pub and well worth a visit during your stag do.

With trains, planes and ferries, you'll never be too far out of the way to get to Dublin for your stag weekend. You'll find flights daily from London, however, some of the best deals can be found from Manchester, Liverpool, Aberdeen, Bristol, Cardiff, Doncaster, Nottingham, Exeter, Inverness, Leeds, Newquay and Southampton.
