A Barcelona stag do has the combination of beaches, bars, and brilliant weather that every stag wants for their final hurrah.
Whether or not you’re celebrating your stag do, Barcelona is one of the most stunning cities in Europe. But even though it’s covered with some legendary architecture, there's far more to do in Barcelona than stand and stare. For one thing, it’s a city where the clocks work backwards—the nightlife starts late and finishes early the next day when you’ll be greeted by the warm Spanish sun and a cooling coastal breeze.
With the partying starting so close to midnight, it leaves you with plenty to do during the daytime, and the beach should be your first port of call. Fresh off the plane, we can arrange a party bus airport transfer with a stripper. Once you’ve dropped your stuff off at the hotel, you can head straight for the sea, exploring the ocean on a booze cruise or BBQ party boat.
The beach is always a popular hub of activity during a Barcelona stag do, with a huge range of water sports available to you, including jet skis, banana boats, wakeboarding, and parasailing. But of course, if the ocean isn’t your thing, we’ve got you covered for slightly drier Barcelona stag activities as well. Once you’ve recovered from the night before, you and the lads can take in a multi-activity day—complete with inflatable sumo fighting—or enjoy the simpler pleasures of an escape room or a round of paintball.
It’s at night that your Barcelona stag do will really come alive, but there’s much more than just sangria and cava on offer here. For starters, why not round up the lads to see FC Barcelona in action? Or maybe ramp up the action with a lesbian strip show?
There’s no single clubbing district, and each part of the city boasts a different scene and atmosphere. If you want to take full advantage of the city’s walkable size and diverse array of places to drink and dance, we’d recommend a guided bar crawl. After all, the bars don’t get busy until around midnight and stay open until dawn, so what better way to discover Barcelona's nightlife.
A natural starting point for newcomers is, of course, the legendary Las Ramblas. By day, this famous boulevard is bustling with tourists and locals alike, and by night, street performers entertain the crowds as they spill out of its restaurants. It’s a great starting point for dinner and some chilled pre-drinks, but from there, you should head towards the Gothic Quarter for a range of cocktail bars, casual clubs, pubs, and laid back bars.
From there, it’s time to really party, and when it comes to clubs, the most popular areas are the El Born District, El Raval, Poblenou, Poble Sec, Montjuïc, and Eixample. You'll also find plenty of great nightspots by the beach, as well as some awesome boat parties.
Luckily for everyone in your party, your Barcelona stag party will be pretty easy to navigate. The public transport is simple and affordable - particularly handy when you’re heading back to your hotel at stupid o’clock in the morning.
With almost 2 million inhabitants, the city has one of the best public transport systems in Europe. The city centre itself is also extremely pedestrian-friendly, and just as easily explored by bike.
There’s a huge amount of variety when it comes to getting around Barcelona on your stag weekend, and the 2-day and 3-day tickets are valid across the tram, metro, bus, and train. These are particularly handy if you’re using the system more than six times a day. However, Maximise recommends purchasing a T10 Ticket, which is valid for exactly 10 rides, and costs less than individual tickets. You can also use them as a group.
It's a good idea to plan ahead though, so for more information on Barcelona’s public transport, check out the TMB and the FGC websites. As far as getting to the activities you’ve planned, Maximise will generally organise your transfers for anything that isn’t within walking distance. We’d also recommend Return Airport Transfers—including a limo, party bus or a Hummer ride with a stripper—for a particularly hassle-free way to bookend your Barcelona stag do.
