Enjoy a drop of red or white or rosé?
Well, you're in luck because Slovakia is definitely wine country and with Bratislava surrounded by vineyards and the Little Carpathian Mountain Range, you're definitely in the right city for some good Wine Tasting.
Bratislava has a very colourful history with its wine, it's said when Maria Theresa—the only queen of the Austro Hungarian Empire who credited wine for her fertility after having 16 kids—visited Bratislava the fountains of the city began flowing with wine instead of water.
Another fun fact: A Slovakian man, Jacob Palugyay, opened a winery in 1859. His wine was so popular, it found itself being enjoyed by the rulers of Japan, and was served on perhaps the most famous ship of all time – The Titanic!
You'll find out some other great facts and history of Slovakia's wine during this Wine Tasting session and while we can't confirm it's miracle work or magic powers, we can confirm its bloody good!
